Fatty Liver Disease

Fatty Liver Disease Clinical Trials

Are you at risk of NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic-Fatty-Liver-Disease)?

We are looking for volunteers to take part in forthcoming clinical trials investigating potential new medicines for Non-Alcoholic-Fatty-Liver-Disease (NAFLD).

NAFLD is the build-up of fat around the liver, which eventually leads to the permanent scarring of the liver, known as cirrhosis. If left untreated, this can become a life-threatening condition. Liver disease is currently the third highest cause of premature death in the UK.

Over half of the adults within the UK (63%) are now classed as obese or overweight. 1 in 3 of those adults are estimated to have early stages of NAFLD can be reversed. However there are currently no medications that are available in the UK to do this.

We are looking for volunteers aged 18-65 years of age to participate in this clinical trial. This trial is investigating medications aiming to reverse the early stages of fatty liver disease.
