Bowel Cancer Screening Clinical Trials

Bowel cancer ranks as the fourth most common cancer in the UK, with nearly 43,000 annual diagnoses. Presently, around 268,000 individuals in the UK have been diagnosed with this condition.

A vast majority of new cases, 94%, are detected in people aged 50 or older. However, it’s essential to note that bowel cancer can affect individuals of any age, with over 2,600 new cases diagnosed in those under 50 each year. The lifetime risk of being diagnosed with bowel cancer is 1 in 15 for men and 1 in 18 for women.
