Flu Vaccine Clinical Trials
Join Our Clinical Research Trial for an Investigational Seasonal Flu Vaccine!
What is This Study About?
We are conducting a clinical research trial to test an investigational seasonal flu vaccine. This study will compare the safety, effectiveness, and immune response of our investigational vaccine with a standard, approved inactivated flu vaccine. We are looking for adults aged 50 and older to participate.
Why is This Important?
Seasonal flu is a serious public health issue. The World Health Organisation estimates that flu viruses cause 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness and up to 650,000 deaths every year. By participating in this study, you can help us in the fight against the flu and contribute to the development of better vaccines.
Benefits of Participating:
- Health Insights: You will receive information about your health through medical check-ups and assessments, including physical examination and vital sign measurements.
- Support Public Health: Your participation will aid in creating a new preventative measure for flu, potentially benefiting millions of people in the future.
Who Can Participate?
- Adults aged 50 years or older.
Who Cannot Participate?
- Individuals with a history of a weakened immune system, frequent severe infections, or lack of a spleen.
- Individuals with a history of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis.
- Individuals who have tested positive for flu, received treatment for flu (e.g. Tamiflu), or received a licensed flu vaccine in the 180 days prior to participation in the clinical research trial
- Individuals who have received an investigational flu vaccine within 1 year prior to participation in the clinical research trial
If you meet the criteria and are interested in contributing to important flu vaccine research, please consider joining our study. Your participation could make a significant difference in public health efforts against seasonal influenza.
